Susan Winfield, Psy.D., LMFT
Dr. Susan Winfield is a Doctor of Psychology and a Certified Integrative Body Psychotherapist living in Los Angeles.
Drawing upon her experience as a woman, mother, and professional, Susan brings an empathic authenticity to her work in creating a safe space for clients to unlock their potential, embody their creative selves and become a passionate advocate of their own lives.
Working for over 15 years in the mind-body paradigm, Susan’s practice helps clients heal early emotional traumas, navigate the intensity of internal and external stressors, and connect to their more authentic, volitional selves.
Susan melds traditional, relational, and family system theories with breathwork, somatic presence and boundary exercises in her therapeutic practice.
Susan also teaches, lectures, and supervises on a wide range of topics including couples counseling, somatic (mind-body) therapy, early childhood and adolescent development, parenting, self-empowerment, and female psychology with a focus on vaginal pain and pelvic dysfunction.
Susan earned her doctoral degree at the Reiss Davis Graduate Program, her master’s degree in clinical psychology from Antioch University, and advanced accreditation from the Integrative Body Psychotherapy (IBP) Institute as an IBP therapist, teacher, and supervisor.
Susan has facilitated female empowerment workshops, couples workshops, existential: meaning of life workshops, and breathwork classes. All her workshops incorporate guidance in a specialized breathing approach, which support: health and wellbeing, presence and grounding, alleviation of stress and anxiety, and a more contented way of living.

Susan has honed her alternative approach to therapy through study at traditional and non-traditional programs and practice at esteemed institutions, earning an M.A., MFT and other accreditation. She has also been engaged in experiences that have given her a unique understanding into clients of all ages.
